This not-for-profit (google ads are just to cover hosting costs – in the unlikely event of an excess it will go to charity) web site is aimed at people looking for information on outdoor walks near Dublin. The web site is a response to the lack of good web sites detailing walk routes and with map directions etc for people living in the Dublin area. It aims to provide a forum where people can comment on existing walks and upload details of their own favourites to share with others.
Please note, when walking in the mountains pay due attention to safety – before going on a walk do read the safety advice from the Wicklow National Park or the safety advice from Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue. If you are new to walking in the mountains, then before tackling any of the harder walks be sure to try some of the easier family walks to gain experience and get a sense of your own abilities (and limitations).
The mountain environment is a delicate one, please respect it by following the Leave No Trace code of conduct.
Suggestions and contributions very welcome. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org with text and a map or GPS track.
