Hi!
Great website! Thank you for it!
Just moved to Ireland, and we're planning to do all your walks. I have only a question about the coordinates, they don't seem to match for my Navi. I always end up in the Netherlands :)
Why?

Knocknacloghoge, Not such a mouthful really if given it''s proper Gaelic spelling - three words really - Cnoc na Clochóige, 'hill with a stoney area'.
Hope this helps.

I'd say so - there are plenty of deer around, but no sheep. I also seem to remember that the sign at the entrance to the estate says dogs on a lead are ok, and it would be easy to double check this before you start the walk.

Is it OK to bring a dog on this route if kept on a lead at all times?

I did this walk yesterday (with another guide) so on reading this I think this is a little vague. First off, the route from the path by the waterfall to the Spinc is via sleeper steps (not mentioned here). Then when walking on the sleepers along the Spinc, eventually take the left at the fork, follow these sleepers and subsequent path alongside the forest and as it ends, follow the clear path south-west towards Mullocor. When heading to Derrybawn, keep heading east and follow the clear path, heading east along the rocky ridge to Derrybawn. Then something I don't think is clear here - when descending off Derrybawn stick left (there is a path fork). The left brings you straight to the stile. Cross this, descend to the second path, turn left, cross two bridges and follow the wicklow way pack to the carpark. Hope this helps, enjoy!

Just did Scar from Oldbridge again today. Although a lot of new houses have been built there lately, the route up to Scar is still accessible with some care and respect for the locals. Just keep following the road up and don't take any right hand turns. The road will lead you to the left of the forest, exactly as described in 'Best Irish Walks' by Joss Lynam. Keep going until you get to a sharp left turn in the road. Don't take this, but keep going straight on through the gate onto a grassy road with low walls on either side. This will bring you to the foot of the mountain.

The lough dan walk could be done with a pram if you stick to the road and path. You may need a little help getting over the stile, but i am sure it can be done. Be prepared for hard push up hill!
